Cutting grass by hand dates from time immemorial. For cutting grass we use a 'kosa' or scythe and ‘brus’ or whetstone for sharpening the 'kosa' when it gets dull. Cutting grass starts from June till the end of July. This is gathered for animal fodder for the Winter period, which, in the village, starts from November till April, this is because our village is high in the montains and the snow does not melt until late Spring.
