With an early morning start from Pirin village, we travel by car into the mountains for about half an hour to Lukite. We then take a rough mountain road on foot for an hour and a half to the shelters Pirin and Gorski Rai, where we relax with tea and breakfast. The hike to the lakes takes about four and a half hours. The mountain route is well marked and a steady climb. |
