Preparation of “Golomianik”
Another traditional dish still prepared to this day. It is made during the season from Autumn to Spring when sweetcorn or pumpkin flour is available. Old ladies used to prepare Golymianik during ‘sedyanka’ – an occasion when young people would come to their home and help with certain tasks such as spinning, knitting or processing sweetcorn from the harvest. This was a very popular dish for the sedyanka. It can be prepared sweet or salty.
