Preparation of wild Chanterelle mushrooms


Mushrooms in village Pirin are used as a delicacy. I remember my grandmother collecting all sorts of mushrooms and roasting them on the embers of the fire when we worked on our land in the forest or brought them home to roast on the stove. Later, when I grew up, I went with my grandmother to find Surnela (Field mushroom) and Patchi krak (Chanterelle). My grandfather cooked them with rice. Now you can collect them yourself in the season and prepare this tasty dish!
